About

My Journey

Although it wasn’t always my intended career, videography and photography have long been passions of mine. From a young age I started making short, funny videos for my family and friends, and my phone camera’s storage was almost always constantly full of photos of things I came across in my day.

One of my early videos happened to catch the eye of the leadership of a local camp, and after a spring of training, I began working as a camp videographer starting in the Summer of 2023 at seventeen years of age. I helped create weekly highlight videos and also headed up several side projects under the guidance of the camp media team. I also assisted with photography whenever I was needed. After an intense summer of work, I continued to be available to help during the off-season and produced several solo projects for the camp.

Late in the fall of 2024, I made the decision to pursue videography as a full-time career, and signed on with an alternative education company called Be Unbound to study videography during the 2025-2026 School year. While waiting for the school year to start, I began working on projects, producing a short promotional video for a local food pantry, and signing on to help with creating a short film. I purchased my first camera, a Canon R8, and began to study editing techniques in preparation for the school year.

My study with Be Unbound yielded many successes, including my first video to be posted on Youtube, and some successful collaborations. I also began to produce educational content as part of Unbound Outposts, a new student leadership team. Now, as the school year winds down, I’ve begun gearing up for the next big step as I seek to jump-start my career. I’m excited for this new phase of my journey as I continue to develop my craft and learn more and more how to tell truly excellent stories.
